Client Feedback for Softness Measurement Training Workshops
in 2006 and 2007

Both of these softness training workshops were presented by a group of experts (Sue Arters, Sandy Hinkle, Pauline Snyder, Paul Hoffman, Carl Ingalls) working with Embossing Technologies.  Certified Softness Measurement was formed in 2008, with the same people.

Feedback from the May 2006 Workshop - Voith

General feedback:

The course itself was very good.  All the Voith participants were able to increase their knowledge in all handfeel measurement methods and become more confident regarding handfeel evaluation.
Voith expectations were fully met during this handfeel course.

Feedback from the April 2007 Workshop - Cascades

Question:  What is your impression of this course?

By far the most relevant course I ever followed.  The 2/5 and the panel methods will be very useful in our daily work.  My personal expectations were surpassed.  The method is very easy to apply and it has been very well taught.  The Paul Hoffman theoretical part was also very relevant.  Carl [Ingalls] was good in explaining in lay man’s terms.  The fact that the 3 women were having different experiences (R&D, mill,…) was also a good thing because when we were asking our questions to the right person we always get very good and complete information.  For our R&D point of view Sandy [Hinkle] has been (and will be) a very helpful reference person.  Congratulation from all of us and we will waiting for the advanced course.

Sandra Bourret, Recherche et Développement, Cascades Canada

Question:  Would you recommend this course to anyone else?

Yes, but not to our competitors!
